Terms of Use

Last updated: 18 October 2026

These terms apply when you use asiko.africa, asiko.live, mediaiconsafrica.com, fastonafrica.com, the Asiko TV apps and our other services that link to them (the "Services"). The Services are operated by Media Icons Limited (trading as Media Icons Africa), Lagos, Nigeria ("we", "us"). By using the Services you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

1. Watching Asiko TV

Asiko TV is free to watch and supported by advertising and sponsorship. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable permission to watch it for your own non-commercial viewing, on our websites and apps, in the places we make it available.

Channels, programmes and availability may change at any time. If we introduce paid or premium features, separate terms will be shown before you pay.

2. What belongs to us

We or our licensors own all rights in the Services. This includes:

Programmes and channel brands belong to us or to the channel partners who license them to us.

Nothing in these terms transfers any of these rights to you. Every right not expressly granted is reserved.

3. What you may not do

Unless we agree in writing, you must not:

Breaking these rules ends your permission to use the Services and may lead us to take legal action, including under the Copyright Act 2022 and the Trade Marks Act.

4. Channel partners, creators and advertisers

Signing up, submitting a channel or sending an enquiry does not create a binding agreement and does not guarantee carriage, placement or airtime. A binding relationship begins only when both sides sign a carriage agreement, creator agreement, insertion order, sponsorship agreement or similar contract. That contract then governs, and these terms apply alongside it.

Any test run or preview we give you is private. It is for your review only and is not a public broadcast or an offer.

You confirm that you own, or are licensed to use, everything you submit, including the content, music, trade marks and likenesses of the people in it.

5. What you send us

You keep ownership of the material you submit. You let us store, copy, review and show it internally, and to the advisers who help us, for the purpose of evaluating it.

We will not broadcast it, or use it beyond that purpose, until we have an agreement with you.

If you send us suggestions or ideas about the Services, we may use them freely, without obligation to you.

6. Confidential information

Some of what we share is not public: proposals, pricing, rate cards, decks, previews, technical details, plans, schedules before release, and business terms. You must keep it confidential, use it only to consider or carry out your dealings with us, and not share it without our written permission.

This duty continues after our discussions end, and is in addition to any separate non-disclosure agreement.

7. Copyright complaints

If you believe something on the Services infringes your rights, email john.upah@mediaiconsltd.com (subject "Copyright notice"). Include:

We will review it promptly, and remove or disable the material where appropriate.

8. Availability and liability

We work to keep the Services running, but we provide them "as is" and "as available". We do not promise they will be uninterrupted, error-free or available everywhere. Third-party content and advertising are the responsibility of those who supply them.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability to you under these terms is limited to ₦100,000, or the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months if that is higher.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.

9. Suspension

We may suspend or block access, remove content, or end your use of the Services if you break these terms or if we need to protect the Services, our partners or the law. You agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs caused by your breach of these terms or your infringement of someone's rights.

10. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The courts of Lagos State have jurisdiction, but we may also protect our rights in the courts of the country where a breach happens. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you keep the protections of your local law.

11. General

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use the Services after a change means you accept it.

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we have not waived it.

How we handle personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
